South Tyneside u3a

South Tyneside u3a is a local branch of the nationwide u3a organisation. Membership is open to everyone who is no longer in full-time work. It gives retired/semi-retired people an opportunity to do something different and offers the chance to make new friends, develop new skills, have new experiences, and really get out and enjoy retirement.

Membership gives you:

• A Monthly general meeting which includes refreshments and a guest speaker
• A monthly coffee morning
• A monthly quiz night
• A Sunday Luncheon club
• Access to many Special Interest Groups (click on the Groups tab Above)
• Special events throughout the year
• A Third Age Matters Magazine
• A monthly email newsletter
• Access to the u3a family with regional and national events and activities

South Tyneside u3a has been running for over twenty years and is managed by a committee of volunteers. We currently have around 230 members. It is part of a national organisation of over 1,200 local groups throughout the UK with almost half a million members. It is non-religious and non-political.
